in tracing intricacies, emily lombardo and senka stankovic investigate the human body, its surroundings, and the traces it leaves behind. both artists engage in an analysis of the intricacies that revolve around living, such as the connections we make with those around us, the objects with which we interact, the food we eat, the things we buy, and the garbage we leave behind. the understanding of the human as a thing that exists both within itself and without is woven through the art presented wherein.
